The River Rhythms series takes place at Juana's Garden Dispensary, located on the banks of the Winooski River just outside of downtown Montpelier. Also on-site are food vendors, and the Bear Naked Growler beer lounge. FREE SHOW!
Sabouyouma is a high energy Afro-funk, Afro-beat and Reggae band lead by master balafon musician, kerfalla Camara, from Guinea, Conakry, West Africa. The balafon is also referred to as the xylophone or marimba depending on the language. Sabouyouma accompanies the traditional sound of the balafon with Congo and djembe drums, bass and trumpet. Get ready to dance and move your feet with this beautiful fusion of African music!
